Spore Keeps On Growing
Posted on 2009/05/05 by Darryl
Electronic Arts today announced that Spore has continued to grow at a huge rate since its release in June last year. The game's Sporepedia is increasing its capacity by on average 307,000 creations a day, and it doesn't look to be slowing down at all.
A short while ago, the number actually exceeded 100 million creations, of which over 31 million were Spore creatures. The user who was actually behind the 100 millionth creation is in line to win a prize as well, an nVidia GeForce 9800GT graphics care, a copy of Spore and the upcoming expansion page called Spore Galactic Adventures.
Lucy Bradshaw, the VP and General Manager had this to say about the amazing milestone.
This is a staggering milestone to have met in less than one year from the launch of Spore Creature Creator.
Spore Galactic Adventures is planned for the PC, but there is also a Wii game, called Spore Hero, and a DS game, called Spore Hero Arena. The addition of these titles to the franchise is sure to only increase the number of creations.
