Square Enix Reviving Thexder Franchise on PSP/PS3

According to the ESRB, a game called Thexder NEO has been entered into their database. Thexder is actually a franchise which first surfaced in 1985, and appeared on consoles such as the NES. Square was the publisher at the time, and it's believed that Square Enix might be behind this new game, which is entitled Thexder NEO.

According to the listing, it is a fantasy violence game, which will be side-scrolling. It has its platform listed as Sony PSP and PlayStation 3, but in this industry things could change very quickly.

Obviously there is no release date at this time, but it could be interesting to see how this develops.
