Star Wars Galaxies To Cease This December
Sony Online Entertainment has announced that Star Wars Galaxies will be shut down on the 15th of December. The decision was made mutually with LucasArts as both companies felt the time was right.
"We have had the rare opportunity to host one of the most dedicated and passionate online gaming communities and we truly appreciate the support we've received from each and every one of you over the course of the past eight years," said the announcement.
The Trading Card Game store has been closed and it's no longer possible to buy 12, 6 or 3-month subscription packs. The game originally launched in 2003.
