Super Mario Galaxy 2 Almost Complete

Super Mario Galaxy 2 was announced during Nintendo's E3 2009 Press Conference, and it was actually quite a surprise. It seems as though Nintendo are taking the development very seriously though.

When speaking to GameTrailers TV, the legendary Shigeru Miyamoto stated that development is actually almost finished,

We're in the middle of finalizing the game, the ideas that we've created, almost entirely new courses for Super Mario Galaxy 2. Of course we've added some new abilities for Mario. And the goal is to take the system and the gameplay of the original Super Mario Galaxy and turn it into something that's a little more expanded and offers a great deal of challenge for people that enjoyed that first game.

No release date has been hinted at yet, but it could very well arrive towards the start of 2010 exclusively on the Nintendo Wii.

GamingUnion.net are currently giving away a Nintendo Wii, along with Sky Crawlers and Ghost in the Shell on Blu-Ray. Visit the competition page to find out how you can win.

Seriously, NSMB and FFCC are the only games that interest me this year.

They re just tweaking the old engine so it should be a quick turn around for them! Lets just hope its not Galaxy 1.5 (I suspect it will be!)
