Tatsunoko vs Capcom Confirmed for North America

Thanks to a Nintendo Power scan by a poster on NeoGAF, it has been confirmed that Tatsunoko vs Capcom will be released in North America on the Wii. Tatsunoko Production Co., Ltd. was founded in 1962, and is known for many popular animated series such as Speed Racer, Gatchaman, Macross, and Samurai Pizza Cats.

Capcom had previously stated that the game would "probably not" be released outside of Japan due to licensing issues (since various companies own the licenses to the Tatsunoko characters), but it seems Capcom was able to work out the legal issues. The paragraph at the top of the Nintendo Power article reads:

They said it couldn't happen, but it is! Fighting extravaganza Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is coming to North America.

Tatsunoko vs Capcom is the seventh installment in Capcom's Vs. series, which includes the Marvel vs Capcom and Capcom vs SNK games. The game plays much like the Marvel vs Capcom games, although some changes were made for this iteration of the series, such as switching characters in mid-air.
