Tecmo Aware Of Quantum/Gears of War Comparisons

Ever since Quantum was first announced, there have been the inevitable comparisons with Gears of War. Many even believed that the game was purely being made to try and draw the Gears of War market towards the PlayStation 3.

However, up until now, Tecmo have maintained that Quantum is not a Gears of War clone. Speaking at GamesCom 2009, Ben Lawrence, PR Manager of Tecmo Koei Europe, admits they have slightly changed their tune,

We are aware that people will draw comparisons [with Gears of War], but Quantum will be a fantastic game in its own right.

An interesting statement, one which will hopefully be backed up when the game is released during 2010.
