Tekken 6: Hands On Impressions

Tekken is one of the more venerable fighting franchises, and with it now coming up for its sixth iteration, it's a good time to check out how the first next-gen Tekken is holding up.

First things first, the game looks great and is extremely smooth. Old players will find that a fair amount of moves have remained the same, but there are plenty of new characters available in Tekken 6, as well as some renovated versions of older characters.

Although the game came out during 2007 in Arcades, Namco have used the time to make sure there is a wealth of new content available in Tekken 6. Characters that were added in Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion will be making their way into the game and players will also be able to create and customise their own fighters.

Tekken 6 is shaping up to be an extremely solid game, and a worthy addition to the Tekken franchise. It's scheduled to be released in October, 2009 in PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Sony PSP.

GamingUnion.net are currently giving away a Nintendo Wii, along with Sky Crawlers and Ghost in the Shell on Blu-Ray. Visit the competition page to find out how you can win.
