TGS 2009 Awards
Posted on 2009/10/07 by Darryl
Continuing on with Gaming Union's TGS 2009 Awards, next it's the turn of Sony's hand-held device, the PlayStation Portable. Sony were at this year's Tokyo Game Show with a plethora of PlayStation Portable titles on show from a range of different publishers. Many of the titles were also platform exclusive, which is rather impressive
However, the decisions have to be made about what truly excited us about the PlayStation Portable moving forward and it's not an easy decision to make, due to the quality of the titles coming out soon.
Nominees:

After two recent successes in the form of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and Dissidia: Final Fantasy, Square Enix have become quite adept at making games for the PlayStation Portable. Now it's time for the Kingdom Hearts franchise to take its first steps, and things are looking exceedingly good for Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep.
Serving as a prequel to the series, that takes place 10 years prior to Kingdom Hearts, the game focuses on the adventures of Terra, Aqua and Ven. It looks to explain many of the questions fans had about the franchise, while also offering insight into the characters that were mentioned briefly in Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+. There's also a multiplayer component to enjoy, and the gameplay is even more refined, to help enhance the experience.

Kingdom Hearts:Birth By Sleep over Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Is this some kind of joke or just really bad taste?

Well, it's still early days for Peace Walker, and Birth By Sleep is much closer to release. However, from what Kyle said, Peace Walker didn't wow him as much as Birth by Sleep.
