THQ Extends UFC Licence To 2018
THQ has announced that thanks to a new deal with Zufa LLC, they will retain the exclusive rights to the UFC licence until 2018, an extension of seven years.
This is big news for THQ, as the original deal expired next year, and with THQ announcing that they don't want the UFC games to be a yearly franchise, this will give them time to perfect the next installment of the franchise.
Especially now that EA are trying to get in on the act with EA Sports MMA.
