THQ: Next Red Faction Coming March 2011
THQ have confirmed, via Joystiq, that the next installment into the Red Faction franchise is planned for release during March 2011 - it initially only had a release window of Fiscal 2011.
THQ's executive VP of Core Games Danny Bilson, also revealed some details about the direction the franchise is now going to take "The new game takes [Red Faction] to a whole new place, it kind of goes back to the old Red Faction because about 80% of it is underground". Definitely some good news, but hopefully the level of destruction isn't compromised as a result.
Their key focus now, is exposing more people to the Red Faction franchise, as THQ openly admitted that the sales of Red Faction: Guerilla were disappointing, despite its critical success.
