THQ To Open New Studio In Montreal
THQ have announced that they will be opening a new studio in Montreal, which will be called THQ Montreal. It will focus on creating "core games", which can only be a good thing for hardcore gamers around the world.
The new studio is set to open up around 400 new jobs in the Quebec province in Canada, and Dave Gatchel, head of THQ's Paradigm Entertainment will be overseeing operations when the studio opens during the middle of 2010.
THQ Vice-President, Steve DeCosta, stated that they chose Montreal not just for tax breaks, but there's also a huge talent pool in the region.
