Top Ten Villains This Generation

This console generation has been full of memorable journeys that pit good vs. evil, David vs. Goliath, spaghetti vs. milk, etc... With that in mind, we felt compelled to compile our favourite villains of the last several years, in alphabetical order.
Top Ten Villains This Generation:

The AI Director
Left 4 Dead
Anyone who has sunk countless hours eradicating the world of zombies knows of the AI Director's legendary cruelty. Whether it's unfortunately timed hordes, or infrequent health and ammo, The Director doesn't let up.

Alma
F.E.A.R.
Ever since The Ring there's been something inherently terrifying about little girls walking slowly towards you - Alma continues that proud tradition.

Colonel AgustÃn Allende
Red Dead Redemption
Most agree Mexico was the weakest section of John Marston's story, likely because the plot degenerated into a series of betrayals orchestrated by this dastardly individual.

Dr. Fetus
Super Meat Boy
The guy's name is Dr. Fetus!... What more do you want?

GlaDOS
Portal
Portal's automated antagonist is easily one of the most memorable characters of recent memory, villain or not. Simple menacing references to cake and pie are all it takes.

The Marker
Dead Space
While we aren't exactly sure what the Marker is, its ability to manipulate all things toward its sinister goals gives it the nod.

The Negativitron
LittleBigPlanet 2
Sackboy's utopian dreamverse is full of everything good imaginable, save a few fire pits and explosive projectiles. So anything threatening that harmony for no apparent reason must be pretty bad, right?

The Reapers
Mass Effect
A race of super-advanced AIs that periodically awakens from the depths of space to eliminate all life and take the form of the dominant living race? Yeah. If there's a more epic backstory for a villainous race I haven't heard it.

Rodrigo Borgia (Pope Alexander VI)
Assassin's Creed
Assassin's Creed age old struggle between the Assassins and Templars is littered with shady characters. As the man pulling the strings throughout most of the last two Creed titles, Rodrigo stands above the rest.

Zoran Lazarevic
Uncharted 2
Lazarevic may not be the most original villain out there, exhibiting many tropes of the action-adventure genre on any medium, but Naughty Dog's strong overall characterization helps make up for it.
