Turbine: There's No Need For The Lord Of The Rings Online 2
Turbine are in the final stages of making The Lord of the Rings Online adopt a free-to-play model, but the game has now been out for around three years and there are plenty of stories to tell.
They don't feel like they'll need a sequel for a long time, if at all. Their current deal on The Lord of the Rings Online runs until 2017.
Speaking at GamesCom, Adam Mursky from Turbine said:
"There's no need for a sequel. The Lord of the Rings Online has a long way to go."
