Valkyria Chronicles 2 Unveiled in Japan for PSP

Sega has unveiled the sequel to the 2008 PlayStation 3 exclusive RPG, Valkyria Chronicles, strangely, for the PlayStation Portable. The decision is unclear as to why the series is directly continuing on the PSP, especially as Valkyria Chronicles eventually did manage to sell half a million units worldwide, according to VGChartz.
The unveiling came by way of Japanese magazine Famitsu, featuring a full spread on Valkyria Chronicles 2. The game is set two years after the original Valkyria Chronicles, and according to Kotaku will arrive on store shelves this winter in Japan. Perhaps Sega is looking to sell to the much wider install base of the PSP compared to the PS3 in Japan, and the rest of the world.
