Watch Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3 Tech Demo For NGP
Epic Games' tech demo is up and for all to see. Showcased at the Sony PlayStation Meeting in Tokyo, Epic Games took the stage and showed attendees a rather impressive demo of the Unreal Engine 3 running on an NGP device.
It's basically the Citadel demo that wowed everyone when it was released on iOS. However, with the NGP's impressive hardware specs, the castle and village have been upgraded with impressive visuals, draw distance and lighting.
While software on the NGP are limited when it comes to geometry, developers are still capable of utilizing the exact same shaders available to them on the PS3, delivering an impressive visual aesthetic on Sony's new portable platform.
