THQ: Next Red Faction Coming March 2011

THQ have confirmed, via Joystiq, that the next installment into the Red Faction franchise is planned for release during March 2011 - it initially only had a release window of Fiscal 2011.

THQ's executive VP of Core Games Danny Bilson, also revealed some details about the direction the franchise is now going to take "The new game takes [Red Faction] to a whole new place, it kind of goes back to the old Red Faction because about 80% of it is underground". Definitely some good news, but hopefully the level of destruction isn't compromised as a result. More »

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 UK Sales Dominated By Xbox 360

Chart Track have revealed that the Xbox 360 version of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has accounted for 53 percent of all sales of the title in the UK. The PlayStation 3 was the second biggest, with 31 percent coming on that platform, while the PC contributed 16 percent.

As well as being a bit coup for Xbox 360, combined, the sales of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 make it the fastest selling game in the UK in 2010. It actually outsold the original title by a ratio of 3:1. More »

The first Portal 2 details have emerged revealing that the game will feature coop, improved physics, the return of GlaDOS and much more. The information comes from the latest issue of Game Informer which includes a feature on Valve's next big game. Valve stated that the company was surprised by the original Portal's success, calling it a "test bed," while the sequel will apparently be a much more comprehensive game. More »
