Yakuza: Of The End Is All About The Zombies
Sega have announced that Yakuza: Of The End isn't your conventional Yakuza game. In fact, they're taking it in a completely new and unexpected direction: the zombie invasion. The game is set for release on the PlayStation 3 and is a zombie shooter, of all things.
Apparently the zombie invasion hit Japan in April 2011 and the Japanese Self Defense Force is overwhelmed by them. Yakuza veterans Kazuma, Goro, Ryuji and Shun return in this game to defend their home. Players will be able to customize their guns.
No word if this is a numbered entry into the Yakuza franchise or a spin-off much like Yakuza: Kenzan. It's not expected to be the last game in the franchise either, but that could change if this game doesn't become a hit.
