Vancouver 2010 Review

The Olympic Winter Games is an event which comes around once every four years, and as such, it's not often that there are officially licenced games available for this particular product. So, with the 2010 Olympic Winter Games only a few weeks away, Vancouver 2010 arrives at the perfect time to help promote and celebrate the event, which will see over 80 real-world nations take part.
While the actual Winter Olympics has well over 80 events, Vancouver 2010 only has 14 events, and these are split over six disciplines. Some disciplines have being completely cut from the official roster, for example, curling, ice hockey and events such as biathlon. The remaining selection does have more than enough variety though. Each of the events can be played either in a training environment alone, or in a competitive situation with multiple people, although they're essentially the same - the only difference is that medals are awarded in the competitive situation. When playing against multiple people, there are various options, including four people on one console, system link and via the internet. Alongside this, players also have the option to play challenges, which are geared towards specific events.
