It's time for another "Ultimate Cast List", although it's a bit of a special one this time! Last time we showed you our casting for a Grand Theft Auto Vice City movie. This week, to go along with our theme of "Top 10 Manly Men", we've decided to try and match these characters up with the actor we feel would do them justice an ultimate manly movie was ever made into a movie.
Barret (FFVII) - Rampage Jackson
As far as manly Final Fantasy characters go, Barret is definitely amongst the manliest. Rampage Jackson is known for his portrayal as B.A. Baracus in the "A-Team", a role he took from Mr. T. Jackson has the looks and the acting chops to pull off Barret and we can't think of anyone better.
Big Boss (MGS) "“ Michael Fassbender
Big Boss, if you didn't know already, shares quite a few similarities with Kyle Reese from "The Terminator" films. If we were looking for someone to play Old Snake, Michael Beihn who plays Kyle Reese in the film would still be the perfect fit, but since we're not, we've chosen Michael Fassbender to foot the bill. Michael Fassbender is a bit new to the American movie scene although he's been in many movies before starring in "X-Men: First Class" as Magneto. As his career is quickly gaining speed, taking on a role such as Big Boss would only be natural. For further proof, watch Fassbender in Inglourious Bastards.
Cole Train (Gears of War) - Lester "Mighty Rasta" Speight
As Lester Speight or 'Mighty Rasta' voiced the role of Cole Train and being that he looks just like the character, it's only fair that the Mighty Rasta take on Cole Train in a live-action film. Cole Train Baby! Wooooooooo!
Ezio Auditore (Assassin's Creed) "“ Zachary Quinto
It's the year 2011 and most of the great Italian actors we've come to love have now aged far too much to play the role of Ezio Auditore in an Assassin's Creed movie. However, Zachary Quinto, who is of Italian decent, would be more than good enough to play the role of Ezio. He's definitely proven himself in his recent roles in "Heroes" and "Star Trek", so no wonder we cast him as Ezio. The only thing against him is that he's not necessarily a pretty boy - but this is about being manly, not pretty.
Kratos (God of War) "“ Jason Momoa
If you have yet to watch "Game of Thrones", shame on you. If you've yet to watch the new Conan the Barbarian... you can probably be forgiven. In either case, you would not have seen Jason Momoa in two of his greatest roles to date as Khal Drogo and Conan. It's in these roles that he is most like the rage-filled Kratos. Shave his head, add a funky goatee, you have Kratos.
Wander (Shadow of the Colossus) "“ Jamie Campbell Bower
For the role of Wander, you have to be manly, but also be able to sport long hair. As he's had long hair in almost every role he's been in, naturally Jamie Campbell Bower should be first choice for Wander, but of course, it's not just looks that he needs. Bower's breakthrough role was his role in "Sweeney Todd" as Anthony but since then he's been in the mini-series "Prisoner" as well as "RocknRolla" and "Camelot". Bower as Wander would be most fitting indeed.
Frank West (Dead Rising) "“ Jeffrey Donovan
Jeffrey Donovan is well known for playing Michael Westen in "Burn Notice" as a bond-type character who is constantly undercover. His confident, yet sexy portrayal of Westen puts him on the mark for portraying a character like Frank West. Western and West are also quite similar, it's like a match made in heaven!
Jim Raynor (Starcraft) "“ Jeffrey Dean Morgan
Raynor is one of the greatest male protagonists in video game history and his overall manliness is incredible. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who played The Comedian in "Watchmen", is our first choice for the space outlaw as he has the chilled confidence as well as the slight southern twang Raynor is so famous for.
Sol Badguy (Guilty Gear) "“ Chris Evans
Chris Evans is such a great character actor as well as a great action movie star. If ever a Guilty Gear movie was made, Evans would have to be a part of it some how and him as Sol Badguy would mesh very well.
Isaac (Dead Space) "“ Jason Statham
Although you never really see Isaac's face in Dead Space, in the one picture you do see of him, he does look an awful lot like Jason Statham and being that Jason Statham is amongst the manliest actors in the industry. He was even in the "Expendables" among the top crew of manly action stars.
