E3 2013 Highlights: EA Press Conference

Following Microsoft's amazing conference, it was time for the second conference to start, a conference featuring EA. During the event, lots of long waited games and details about upcoming games were revealed, so make sure to check everything below.

To start off the event, it was confirmed that DICE was working on a new Star Wars: Battlefront. Despite no details being revealed, just a teaser trailer was enough to make the crowd excited. Another game where almost no details were revealed was Dragon Age: Inquisition. However, it was confirmed that the RPG from BioWare will be released on Fall 2014.

Following Star Wars: Battlefront, was the confirmation of Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare for Xbox One and Xbox 360, which didn't come up as a big surprise due to some leaked images being released before E3 even started. The only big surprise is the fact that the game will be different from past entries in the series, since it will be a third-person shooter.

For fans of sports, the main focus of the event was NBA Live 14 and Fifa 14. Regarding NBA Live 14, lots of new details regarding the gameplay of the game were revealed, as for Fifa 14, it was confirmed that the football simulator will be making its way to next-gen consoles, as well as the promise of Fifa 14 being "the most authentic football game in history". Another bit of news for Need For Speed fans is that Need for Speed: Rivals will feature Tablet cross-platform play.

The announcement that probably took the spotlight of the conference was the official announcement of Mirror's Edge Reboot. The game will be powered by the Frostbite 3 engine, and will be released next year for PS4, Xbox One and PC. If you enjoyed playing Peggle, then be please to know that Peggle 2 was announced and will be released this year.

Fans of UFC will be happy to know that EA Sports UFC will be released for PS4 and Xbox One on Spring 2014. As the conference was getting close to its end, one of the most waited games of the year, Battlefield 4, saw its Commander Mode detailed on stage with the presence of 64 different players.
