E3 2013 Highlights: Ubisoft Conference

Shortly after EA's conference came to a close, Ubisoft took to the stage for the third conference of the day. In this article you can find the main news of the event.

To start off the event, Jerry Cantrell, Alice In Chains' guitarist, came up on stage to officially announce Rocksmith 2014, the newest version of the game released last year. Kinect will be used to issue voice commands to use a new feature called Session Mode, allowing players to load up a virtual band and play along with them. Rocksmith 2014 will be released this Fall.

The biggest surprise of the conference was without a doubt the announcement of Tom Clancy's The Division. The game is being developed by Ubisoft Massive and will be released in 2014 for PS4 and Xbox One. If you are a fan of South Park, you'll be happy to know that South Park: The Stick of Truth will be released this Fall for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

After being rumored for a while, Ubisoft officially confirmed The Crew, new racing game, being produced by Ubisoft Reflections and Ivory Tower. The game will focus a lot on its multiplayer component, and according to Ubisoft's president, the game will be revolutionary.

During the presentation, Ubisoft announced that the long-waited game, The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, is now avaiable in private beta. To participate in this beta, all you have to do is go to the game's official website. In this game, players will have the mission of building a fortress and placing creatures in their fortress in order to defend the players' treasures.

Just Dance 2014 was revealed, and it will be available "on existing consoles" in October 2013, with the next-gen versions being available on the PS4's and Xbox One's respective launch dates. Just Dance 2014 will allow up to 6 players to play at the same time in a mode called "Stage Mode," although no details about this mode were revealed. There will also be a "DJ Mode" where players will chose the music and "change the game" will body movements

Ubisoft announced a partnership with France Television and Nickelodeon, in order to create a TV show based on Rabbids, and it's set to release soon. Rabbids Invasion will be an interactive game and television show hybrid for the Xbox One. Two new games for Trials series have also been announced. Trials Fusion is a new motocross racing/crashing game for Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, while Trials Frontier will be for mobile devices.
