John Daly has become a household name largely based on his infamous antics on and off the golf course. Now, gamers will become more familiar with the professional golfer as he lends his likeness to UK based developer O-Games in John Daly's ProStroke Golf, which will include PlayStation Move support. In an interview with Gaming Union, John Daly described how excited he is for "Sony Move" when it's released on "PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC."
For some reason I got the feeling Mr. Daly was merely collecting his cheque at the event for ProStroke. Maybe it was his responses to a few simple questions about the game. Part of our interview with John Daly can be seen below.
Gaming Union: How did you become involved with ProStroke?
John Daly: I just wanted to make a game that gets people off the couch, and this really does with the new Sony Move. You actually get to play the game, you're swinging, you're not just sitting on the couch pressing buttons.
Those paying close attention will recall Sony's new motion control device is in fact called PlayStation Move.
GU: What's your impression of PlayStation Move?
John: I love it, it's PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, so it's going to be fun.
After some investigation, we've confirmed PlayStation Move is PlayStation exclusive.
GU: What does ProStroke do to differentiate itself from other golfing games such as Tiger Woods PGA Tour?
John: Like I said, you're swinging, you're playing, you're creating your own shots on this, you're not just sitting on the couch hitting buttons. You have to stand up and swing.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour supports several motion control devices, and has been doing so for years.
GU: Last question, do you play any other games?
John: No, I'm not a gamer.
That's for sure, John.
Be sure to check out John Daly's ProStroke golf when it hits store shelves sometime this fall. We'll also have our impressions of the brief demo at E3 up shortly.
