Ubisoft Paris has just announced this morning that they are working on the next entry in the Ghost Recon series, titled Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. This name was trademarked late last year, for those who thought it sounded familiar.
The Ghost Recon series is known for being a tactical shooter, requiring fast reflexes that are more realistic than most action shooters. Many have likened the games to heavily simulate actual real-life warfare, due to the need for players to think out their moves in advance before they execute them.
The game will feature both singleplayer and multiplayer modes. Those who purchase Splinter Cell Conviction this Spring on the Xbox 360 will get early access to the game's multiplayer beta. The beta will be release sometime in the summer, with the game's actual release coming sometime during the 2010 holiday season.
