Ninja Theory, the developers behind Heavenly Sword, have revealed just exactly why they've decided to go multiplat with their next action adventure game, Enslaved.
Speaking with CVG, the studio explained that although Heavenly Sword was one of the earlier most anticipated exclusives released for Sony's PlayStation 3, it didn't sell enough for the studio to "break even."
"It's difficult. Heavenly Sword came out pretty early on the PS3, and we sold, I think, a million and a half copies, and that's still not enough as an independent studio to break even," explained co-founder Tameem Antoniades who also pointed out that the rather large market share of Microsoft's Xbox 360 was hard to ignore.
"It's just that when so many people have Xbox - I mean over half the market or more has Xbox 360s - why limit yourself to one platform?"
