After a slew of recent mysterious updates to Steam version of Portal over the last few weeks, Valve has announced that they will be releasing Portal 2 later this year. The news broke earlier this morning when Game Informer put up the cover for their April 2010 issue.
Valve, a company known for their high-quality first person shooters (FPSs), released Portal back in 2007 in The Orange Box alongside a bunch of their other heavy-weights. The game was a change from their other FPSs, relying more on puzzles and thinking to progress through the game.
According to Eurogamer, the title will be released this holiday season on both the Xbox 360 and PC. Not much is known about the title except for the fact that it appears to let players travel outside of the Aperture Science facility that was home to the original title.
