With all the fuss going on around Activision and it's crumbling Infinity Ward studio, the publisher's CFO, Thomas Tippl, has come out to say that they are not having that many problems, and that they are still a great employer.
Tippl told LA Times, "We have an independent studio model that provides them a lot of creative freedom while we take care of the back office stuff so they can focus on making games. If their games are successful, they are compensated better here than anywhere else. We've been paying our talent millions of dollars for their work."
The sentiments coming from the former Infinity Ward studio heads seem to contradict this statement though, since Vince Zampella and Jason West have both expressed how displeased they were with the treatment of their former studio's intellectual property.
Seems like some damage control coming from Activision's end of the current lawsuit between them and their former employees. Only time will tell to see how this all fans out in the end.
