In a press release today, Capcom has unveiled its plans to start the 'Kill Big For Charity' program for the demo of Lost Planet 2. This charity program will consist of two parts, one being a competition, the other being a contribution to charity from downloads of the demo.
Detailing the charity itself, Capcom has stated that it will donate $20,000 to the charity Music For Relief, which assists victims of natural disasters worldwide; once the downloads of the Lost Planet 2 demo reach 1 million downloads across all platforms. On top of that donation, Capcom will also donate $5,000 for every 500,000 downloads over the initial million downloads reached.
The second part of the event entails a competition in which players can enter tips and tricks for the multiplayer demo. Four winners will then be selected to go to a celebrity tournament held by Capcom as well as the launch party for the game in Los Angeles.
The Kill Big For Charity event begins today, April 1, with the release of Lost planet 2 on May 11 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
