There has been a lot of frustration over the pricing of the first map pack from online shooter goliath, Modern Warfare 2. In an interview with CVG, Robert Bowling, Infinity Ward Community Manager, explained why the recent stimulus map pack for Modern warfare is worth the hefty $15 price tag.
"There's definitely no doubt in my mind that these maps packs - and [Stimulus'] five maps - are definitely worth the investment. Anybody who buys them and then plays Modern Warfare 2 hardcore online is going to get their money's worth out of these maps," Bowling stated when referring to the return on investment on the price tag.
It's nice and all that Bowling fully supports his company's decision to charge large amounts for a map pack when competition is offering map packs for free. Bowling Replied to Bad Company 2 and their free packs by stating, "No, we're not worried about it at all."
Sure, Modern Warfare 2 has 5 maps in the pack, but two maps being re-released in a similar game with three regular maps should not cost $15.
