Last year's best-selling PC game, The Sims 3, is finally coming to consoles this fall. PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and DS players looking to fill the 'ruin stranger's lives' void in their life will have the chance to do so by the end of the year.
As a reward for their patience, EA has added in a few features to each version. All console versions will incorporate the new 'Karma Powers', which let players instantly change the Sim's life, letting them 'get lucky,' bless them with 'instant beauty' or crash and burn with an 'epic fail.' Details have not yet been released as to these 'Karma Powers', but we're guessing 'epic fail' involves more than sitting at the computer watching YouTube videos for 5 hours straight.
Exclusive to the Wii, players get a new beach town, with new citizens, careers and 'Lifetime Wishes', as well as a multiplayer head-to-head mode. The DS version sounds particularly interesting as players will be able to use the stylus to build homes, draw walls and floors and even design the home décor and textures. EA is saying The Sims 3 for DS will have, "the most robust Create A Sim yet for a handheld game."
If the franchise's success on PC is any indicator, The Sims 3 on consoles and DS will prove to be a major hit for EA.
