Warner Brothers has today announced that the horror first-person shooter series, F.E.A.R., will be getting a third instalment. F.E.A.R. 3 is being produced by Day 1 studios, who has apparently been working closely with the original development team, Monolith Studios. F.E.A.R. 3 will also be featuring a new story involving two sons of their evil mother, and main baddie of the series, Alma, which will allow for co-op play.
Another interesting facet of F.E.A.R. 3 is the Hollywood team that has been brought in to work on all the story elements of the game. Famed director John Carpenter, known for horror films such as Halloween, will be working on the cinematic sequences of the game. Comic book and script writer Steve Niles, who has worked on 30 Days of Night, will be writing the story of F.E.A.R. 3.
It seems that Day 1 will be putting a ton of effort into F.E.A.R. 3 with all the people behind it. You can expect this most likely very scary horror game to release sometime around fall of this year on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
