IGN has posted a new developer diary featuring the weather aspects of the upcoming F1 2010 title coming later this year from Codemasters. As you can tell from the video, the weather effects look rather stunning.
There is also a lot of strategy concepts brought up in the video of how the rain and amount of water on the track will constantly affect how the race is played out, going as far as staying in the wet patches of track to avoid damaging rain tires.
It's also exciting to know that this update to the weather system is integrated into the EGO engine, which means these effects can and most likely will be integrated into other Codemasters racing games such as Dirt and Grid. F1 2010 is expected to release sometime around Summer of this year for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
