Insomniac just announced an agreement with EA to publish multiplatform games, a move which would seem like a large blow to Sony. However, while speaking with CVG, Sony quickly rushed to reassure fans that "PS3 exclusive properties" will continue "in the near future."
A Sony spokesperson told CVG: "Sony Computer Entertainment and Insomniac Games will continue to build upon a strong, successful 14-year partnership that has led to more than 35 million games sold and enjoyed by fans around the world. We look forward to unveiling Insomniac's next PS3 exclusive properties in the near future."
This isn't surprising considering the multiplatform deal involves Insomniac's recently launched North Carolina studio, leaving the main studio able to work on Insomniac's core PS3 franchises. Resistance 3 still looks to be on track.
