Sony has just announced that Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow, which was released on the PSP back in 2007, will be ported to the PS2 and will be released this June in North America.
The original PSP version of Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow was critically acclaimed by many members of the gaming press, earning IGN's PSP Game of the Year award. The PS2 version improves on the original's controls with some new additions, such as adding a snap button to get in and out of cover easier, using the L1 button to swing out and aim quickly.
Bend Studio has also stated that they will be upgrading the textures and effects for the console so it feels like a PS2 game instead of simply an upscaled PSP port. Sony is also releasing a digital graphic novel on PSN later this summer, totaling over 120 pages. Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow is set to be released on June 1 in North America for the PS2.
