UK based developers Codemasters have confirmed that they are currently working all out on sequels for Operation Flashpoint, DiRT and GRID, their three largest franchises. According to Eurogamer, they've also teased a "massive" new game running on the latest of their EGO Engine tech.
Speaking to Develop, senior VP of production Jamie MacDonald said, "In Southam it's full steam ahead with the next iteration in our Flashpoint series, as well as the next DiRT and GRID. It'll be interesting to see how it all pans out."
MacDonald also affirmed that investing in technology will be an important stepping stone to success for titles coming out of Southam, including F1 2010 that's slated for release in September.
"The next F1 will show where EGO has got to at this stage," he said. "I think people will agree that it has probably got the best weather of any game ever seen. It is very powerful, but is also in an intricate stage right now."
Speaking more on technology, MacDonald also affirmed that "[Codemasters] are focused on EGO 2.0 at the moment, which will be coming in with a massive title that we can't talk about just yet. That will really keep us cutting-edge."
