It looks like the "You May Like" recommendations isn't the only new feature to be added in the next firmware update for Sony's PlayStation 3. Apparently, the update also includes a new patching system that will allow for faster downloads of patches and updates.
According to CVG, firmware update 3.41 supposedly paves the way for a new patching system. Currently all firmware updates require users to download large files in order to update - the majority of said file is mostly old data. The new system allows the PS3 to simply download the new data in order to update the firmware.
Sounds like this will make firmware updates a less of a hassle for PS3 users.
