Video Games Live, the group that performs video game music in live venues with full orchestras and bands, will be airing a live performance in HD on PBS in the US. The performance was recently recorded in the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.

The performance will be airing on PBS stations between July and August depending on local access to the channel in different regions. The performance includes music from classics such as Mario and Chrono Trigger, but also includes new and upcoming music from games like Halo or even StarCraft II.

Not a bad deal for anyone into games music. Check local listings of PBS to find out more about when Video Games Live will be airing on a TV set near you.
