While the administrators for Realtime Worlds have stated that they won't be offering refunds for those who bought copies and paid for subscriptions of APB, they've told gamers to turn to the entity from which they bought the game.
If this was a retail copy, then that entity is EA. And if this is the case, they will be offering a $20 discount voucher or even free games as compensation. However, Steam has flat out refused to offer any kind of refund.
"As with most software products, we do not offer refunds or exchanges for purchases made online as outlined in the software license," was Valve's response.
In either scenario, the consumer loses, which is a shame.
