PS3 Firmware 3.50 Disables Third Party Pads

PlayStation 3 firmware 3.50 was released recently and while it did bring some nice things to the table, it has also disabled certain third party peripherals.

In response the users complaints, Sony said "SCEA does not support continued functionality of counterfeit or unlicensed controllers in system software updates and these devices may cease to function in the future because of system software updates."

Some users are also complaining that the firmware updated has stopped their MadCatz/Guitar Hero controllers from working too, but Sony has yet to comment about this.
