Those who have followed Gran Turismo 5 know that the game has had numerous delays worldwide and, in the case of Japan, actual release date changes. Sony has announced that the game won't be making its previously announced November 2nd release date, instead moving into a vague "Holiday 2010" release window.
Gran Turismo 5 is the latest entry in the long-running series, which excels at its excellent visuals and real-life handling of the control of the in-game cars.
While it's not clear how close to the holiday season the game will be getting released, it should allow it to be more widely advertised, which should help the game's sales. We can all be thankful, at least, that the game isn't delayed till next year.
In their announcement, Sony stated they would update their fans sometime in the near future with the game's finalized release date.
