Media Molecule Explain LittleBigPlanet 2 Delay

Last month, Media Molecule revealed that LittleBigPlanet 2 was to be delayed. Rather unfortunate news, but Alex Evans, Media Molecule's co-founder has now explained the reasoning behind the delay

"We've all been working like powered-up space ninjas and we're almost there, but because we love what we've made, and we love our little sack-friends, and most of all we love all our fans out there, we couldn't let you all get together until we knew we were giving you the best experience imaginable."

So I suppose we'll just have to trust the developers are doing what they can to make this game the best it can be which means instead of having tons of patches to start out with, they're making it easier on those of us who lack internet connection by including them in the game.

Alex Evans, Media Molecule's co-founder, says "Like LittleBigPlanet, we will be supporting the game with patches, updates, and whatever, but you have to realize right from the beginning that there are those people who don't have online and that is why we decided it was the right decision to delay the game."

"In the end, the main reason for it though was just that we played the game and in the end realized that we had to make the Blu-ray perfect, and I don't mean 100 percent perfect, but I just mean something we are proud of."

Here's to hoping LittleBigPlanet 2 is worth the extra wait.
