Sony's PlayStation 3 has always been the long standing Blu-Ray player of choice. It was the cheapest and it can even play games in addition to playing HD movies. However, with cheaper Blu-Ray players on the market, it looks like the PS3 is starting to lose its dominance.
According to Home Media Magazine, 47% of people use the PS3 to view HD movies while 45% now use stand alone Blu-Ray players.
The PS3 previously enjoyed a two-to-one lead over players only just six months ago.
