Remember when Sony announced the PSPgo? Remember when they confirmed a retail price of $250? Tables were flipped and people went on with their lives. The PSgGo, so far, has not been a stellar contestant in terms of hardware sales thanks to the high price point.
Rumour has it though that the PSPgo will be getting a $50 price cut this Friday. The tip comes via Joystiq, complete with a photo reflecting the price change that takes place "effective on Friday, 15 October, 2010."
That brings the PSPgo's price down to what its predecessor used to cost: $199. PSPs currently retail for $169 and even lower depending on what PSP you get (below a hundred dollars for the purple Miley Cyrus PSP!)
This is still a rumour, Sony has yet to speak on the issue and other retailers have yet to announce anything.
