Sega have announced a brand new Marvel video game based on a classic superhero: Captain America. Dubbed Captain America: Super Soldier, players take the reigns of the all-American superhero as he battles against the Red Skull and his minions and ye old World War 2 settings.
"Video game players the world over can now become Marvel's iconic Super Hero Captain America," said Gary Knight, Senior Vice President of Marketing at SEGA Europe and SEGA America.
"Captain America: Super Soldier puts players in the boots of the ultimate Super Soldier, wielding Captain America's legendary shield. Working closely with Marvel ensures we're delivering the calibre of product that gamers and comic fans deserve and it's a partnership we're proud of here at SEGA."
It's a third person action adventure game "combining dynamic acrobatic platforming with a fast and fluid melee combat system." Sounds awfully like another super hero game featuring spandex wearing heroes, but if it all works out, it sounds pretty sweet.
Captain America: Super Soldier is currently slated for a summer 2011 release.
