Treyarch: Call of Duty Black Ops Violence Was Too Realistic

Treyarch is utilizing a new method of capturing facial animation. It's proven to be pretty realistic, so realistic that Treyarch had to tone it down because it was "going to far" in some situations.

"We've completely changed the way we do facial animation," says director Dave Anthony to Official PlayStation Magazine.

"Some of the stuff we've done with Gary Oldman's character is amazing."

"There were situations going too far," he added.

"It was a a contextual kill where you were twisting the neck. It was too much. The throat cutting [is] nasty, but that was worse."

Call of Duty: Black Ops sounds better and better everyday, it's out on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on November 9.
