Namco Bandai recently did a bit of restructuring, merging both their mobile and online games divisions into one. VentureBeat reports that 90 employees from the US offices will be layed off as a result.
In addition to the merge of divisions, Namco Bandai have also decided to move a good amount of games development done in their San Jose, California offices back to Japan.
"We are partnering with external development studios out there because that is where the game business is going," vice president of marketing Carlson Choi said. "Our goal is to move into digital games and broaden to different platforms. The details are being sorted out now."
