EA were really hoping that the Medal of Honor reboot, which released a few weeks ago, would take the franchise to a whole new level in terms of quality. This wasn't necessarily reflected in its reception within the games industry though.
Speaking to Eurogamer, EA Senior Vice President Patrick Soderlund said "Medal of Honor is to some extent judged harsher than it should be. The game is better than today's reviews are indicating."
While he spoke strongly about his own opinion about the title, he did admit that the game had failed to meet internal "quality expectations", with regards to sales.
