Europe Gets Dedicated Video Game Museum

An entire museum dedicated to the "history and evolution" of video games is set to be unveiled at the Italian Video Game Conference in December.

Aptly dubbed ViGaMus, the museum is situated in Italy, specifically next to the Piazzi Mazzini in Central Rome and is planned for a Spring 2011 opening. It is the first "permanent European video game museum."

"ViGaMus goal is to give videogames the cultural, historical and artistic value they deserve. Every single step toward this goal is pursued with the maximum effort by its members, and the importance is on the path itself, not just in the goal to be reached."
