Metal Gear Solid: Rising, the next in the Metal Gear series featuring cyborg Raiden as the main character, will be missing its expected 2011 release and won't be out until sometime in 2012, according to Kotaku's sources.
Rising lets players cut whatever they want in the game world, be they structures, enemies and even watermelons. It's described as a new Metal Gear game without the complex story and character nuances.
Hideo Kojima is not directly involved with the game, but is instead the executive producer. Metal Gear Solid: Rising will be available on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
