EA has revealed that last year's downloadable Battlefield title, Battlefield 1943, has managed to bring in $16 million in revenue since its launch.

What's even more impressive, is that is was, according to EA's CFO Eric Brown, created by EA Dice while they were in-between projects. He also stated that the title had a development budget of "single-digit millions."

This could mean that EA will be looking to produce some similar titles in the future, but for now they're concentrating on releasing the latest extension to Bad Company 2, Vietnam.
