The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has been officially unveiled by Todd Howard at the 2010 Video Game Awards, hosted by Spike.

The game, which will be the sequel to Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, had been rumoured for quite some time, especially as Oblivion came out quite some time ago.

Howard also took the time to give the game's release date, which is currently set at November the 11th, 2011 on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Yes, that's right, 11/11/11.
